Holly Hazlett, M.D.

Dr. Holly Hazlett co-founded The Woodlands Dermatology Associates in 2003 with Dr. Leslie Ledbetter after practicing dermatology with the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic for 5 years. Dr. Hazlett is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. She earned a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she also completed her dermatology residency.

Leslie S. Ledbetter, M.D., F.A.A.D.
Dr. Leslie Ledbetter co-founded The Woodlands Dermatology Associates in 2003 with Dr. Holly Hazlett after practicing dermatology in the Conroe area for 2 years. Dr. Ledbetter grew up in The Woodlands and graduated from McCullough High School in 1988. A proud Longhorn, Dr. Ledbetter graduated with high honors from UT Austin with her Bachelors in Biology in 1992. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston in 1997 and continued on in the same institution as an intern in Internal Medicine through 1998.
Following internship, she continued her training at Baylor College of Medicine where she served as Chief Resident in her final year of dermatology residency. Dr. Ledbetter is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She enjoys living on Lake Conroe with her husband, Toby and golden retriever, Kirby. Her two daughters, Emily and Kate, are her pride and joy and her favorite topic of conversation.
Dr. Ledbetter prides herself in taking time to get to know her patients. She is very thorough in her examinations and evaluations and primarily focuses on finding and treating skin cancer as well as helping younger patients battle acne. She loves taking care of the dermatologic concerns of the entire family and she treasures the relationships that she has built with her patients over the last 20 plus years of practice.
Joel Hyman, M.D.
Joel Hyman, M.D.
Dr. Joel Hyman specializes in the treatment of psoriasis and skin cancers. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Hyman earned a Bachelor of Science in biomedical science from Texas A&M University, received his Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio and completed his dermatology residency at the University of Missouri.
Mandy Harting, M.D.
Mandy Harting, M.D.
Dr. Mandy Harting specializes in Mohs surgery, facial reconstruction and surgical dermatology of melanomas and other skin cancers. After earning a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, she completed her internship and dermatology residency at University of Texas Medical School at Houston and Baylor College of Medicine. In 2008, Dr. Harting joined the teaching faculty at University of Michigan’s Department of Dermatology, where she completed her Mohs surgery and procedural dermatology fellowship. Before joining The Woodlands Dermatology Associates in 2013, she was associated with Seattle Skin Cancer Center in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Harting is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society.
Brittany Barros, M.D.
Brittany Barros, M.D.
Dr. Brittany Barros is a native to The Woodlands, Texas, and graduated from The Woodlands High School in the top 3% of her class of nearly 1,200 students, with the honors of Summa Cum Laude. She attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with High Honors with a Bachelor of Sciences in Nutritional Sciences. She completed medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical School (now known at the McGovern Medical School), where she began her passion for dermatology and published dermatologic papers with faculty at MD Anderson and UT Physicians in the topics of melanoma, cutaneous carcinomas, and psoriasis. She then pursued her internship and dermatology residency at Penn State Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where she also served as Chief Resident in her final year.
Dr. Barros is board-certified in dermatology and is an active fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. During her residency, she was heavily published and spent ample time in clinical research. Dr. Barros has special interests in acne, pediatric dermatology, autoimmune disease, and skin cancer management. In her spare time, she enjoys rooting for Texas Football, exercising with her Peloton, attending live music concerts, and being with her family.

Dr. Holly Reid specializes in general dermatology, pediatric dermatology and skin cancer detection and treatment. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University and a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she was Chief Resident in the dermatology residency program. A native of The Woodlands, she is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Larissa Stewart practices general dermatology and specializes in skin cancer treatment. She earned a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine, and completed her dermatology residency The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology.
Gregory Peterson, M.D.

Dr. Gregory Peterson specializes in general/medical dermatology, psoriasis and immunologic therapies, and skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. He earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Baylor University and a Doctor of Medicine at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he also completed his internal medicine internship. Dr. Peterson completed his dermatology residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, serving as Chief Resident his final year. A native of The Woodlands, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology.
Andrew DeCrescenzo, M.D.
ANDREW DECRESCENZO, M.D.
Dr. DeCrescenzo was born and raised in Dallas but is happy to have started his career in Houston. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Genetics from Texas A&M University – College Station where he isolated and described two novel species of virus. He completed his medical school and internal medicine internship at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He traveled back home to Dallas to complete his dermatology residency at Baylor University Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. Following his residency in Dallas, Dr DeCrenscenzo returned to Galveston to complete a dermatopathology fellowship.
Dr DeCrescenzo is board certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology, bringing his pathology expertise to the clinic while providing clinical recommendations “from the microscope”. His clinical interests focus on difficult-to-treat psoriasis among almost every other skin condition. He joined The Woodlands Dermatology Associates in May, 2023.
Julie Croley, M.D.
Julie Croley, M.D.
Dr. Croley is a double board certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon with expertise in skin cancer surgery, Mohs surgery, reconstructive surgery, and general dermatologic surgery.
A native Texan, Dr. Croley grew up in the Hill Country where she graduated #1 in her high school class and won the division 5A state championship in the mile run. She attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Honors Biology. While at UT, she earned the distinctions of Distinguished College Scholar and member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She also competed on the Track and Field team as a scholarship athlete and earned the title of NCAA Academic All American. Her team won the Big 12 Championship during her senior year. Dr. Croley then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society as one of the top 10 students in the class. She pursued a dermatology residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch and won numerous awards, including Outstanding Resident of the Year. Dr. Croley then had the opportunity for advanced specialty training in Dermatologic Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She was awarded Outstanding Fellow of the Year. During her training, she was involved in many research projects in the field of dermatologic surgery and published over 25 research publications. She has given numerous presentations at regional and national conferences. In 2017, her research on biased portrayals of dermatologic conditions in the cinema was globally recognized and was the third most read research publication in the major academic journal JAMA Dermatology. Dr. Croley has also served her community through various volunteer efforts, including delivering vaccinations during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing free medical care to qualifying underserved populations at the St. Vincent’s clinic, and coordinating AIM for Melanoma 5K fun runs to benefit the foundation.
Dr. Croley completes over 1,500 dermatologic surgeries annually. She is proud to be part of the Woodlands Dermatology Associates and is currently performing surgeries in the practice’s surgery center. Dr. Croley is married to her amazing husband Sawyer, who is an Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery at Houston Methodist Clear Lake. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, running, and spending time with friends and family.
Brandy Maphet, M.D.
Brandy Maphet, M.D.
Dr. Brandy Maphet is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in skin cancer detection and general dermatology for all ages. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
She obtained a Doctor of Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Staying at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston for dermatology residency, Dr. Maphet practiced complex dermatology care in the Texas Medical Center and trained at MDAnderson Cancer Center. She was elected by her peers to serve as Chief Resident in her final year.
A native of Bryan/College-Station, she has come to love Montgomery, TX alongside her husband, Hunter Maphet, who serves as a captain for Montgomery County Fire Department ESD2.
Leah Douglas, M.D.
Leah Douglas, M.D.
Dr. Leah Douglas is board-certified in dermatology with expertise in skin cancer and general dermatology.
She grew up in Houston in a large family, the oldest of seven children. She earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dr Douglas attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, where she was voted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She continued at Baylor College of Medicine for her medical internship and dermatology residency. In residency she greatly enjoyed caring for patients of all ages, from newborns to those of advanced age.
In her free time, Dr. Douglas enjoys running, baking, playing the piano, reading, and most of all spending time with family.
